Missions
We have such a loving church with a heart for missions. We are blessed to have prayer, support, and willing hearts to minister to several groups. We support Peytona Baptist Church in West Virginia through trips, clothing, food, building projects and other related activities. We make two trips, at least, each year to West Virginia. We try very hard to help this church which is helping a mountain with physical needs in order to minister to their spiritual needs. A highlight each year is our Fall Festival which brings in over one hundred to the church. Many of the families become good members.
We also support our local schools with supplies at the beginning of each year. Beth Bochette helps us by distributing the supplies to those students and teachers who need them.
Our mission each month is to cook and deliver food to our shut-ins and to anyone who needs ameal. Through Sue Joyner's efforts and others, we have food to give out which can last through the month. This happens through our Loaves of Love project. It is the third Saturday of every month. come join us at 9AM top cook or 11AM to deliver
We have also been to New Orleans three times to help in the rebuilding project. This is through a church in Slidell, Louisiana and our team not only builds, but also helps in a clothing ministry. We have the opportunity to pray and minister with street people.
The mission committee is constantly looking for ways to serve. Please share your ideas and concerns with us.
