Intercessory Prayer
The foundation of any church ministry is the prayer ministry of the people who gather to intercede on behalf of others. With a core group of almost thirty intercessors, the prayer ministry of First Baptist Church undergirds the people and ministries of the church and community with an undeniable strength and power that can only originate with God.
Emerging from this ministry are numerous testimonies of people finding victory in their lives over adversities, joy in their lives because of God’s blessings, and fulfillment in their lives because of God’s presence. The whole atmosphere of the church is permeated by the essence of prayer.
Our prayer coordinator, Shirley Langley, also leads in educating our congregation about the importance of prayer. She organizes and directs the prayer room, trains the intercessors, and provides opportunities for Bible Study about prayer.
